Our Home, Our Cathedral

One of the family

Rifugio Belvedere is a place known for peaceful relaxation and breathtaking nature.  For us it is more than just a vacation point.  The Rifugio Belvedere is our home, our prayer, our lifestyle.

Time and again our guests tell us that it is the Belvedere Family that makes this place so special.   We think it is this extraordinarily special place that helps us all feel like family.  Either way…

Visit us in person and see why Belvedere is more than a refuge, it’s a family.

About us:

Angelo Doriani

With over forty years of professional service, Chef Angelo serves plates of excellence garnished with love.  From his grandmother’s kitchen in Sicilia to haute cuisine in Paris, Amalfi, and Lago Maggiore, Angelo has found the highest expression of ‘field to table’ in the Alps, at Rifugio Belvedere.

Eric Giandico

Born and raised in Lignod, Ayas, Eric brought ‘Valhalla’ to the valley in the ’90s-’00s, before realizing his vision for a new Rifugio Belvedere.  When he’s not in deep discussions with guests about the mystical origins of the Val d’Ayas, he enjoys music, chainsaws, and snowboards.

Emanuele Gianelli

Born and raised in Salento, Emanuele is also a passionate musician and collector of fine and rare instruments.  Home away from home at Belvedere, he’s presently dedicating the same love to an innovative sound studio project in his hometown.

Alessandro Jacassi

Alessandro has been managing the front house at Belvedere for over ten years.  Hailing from the rice fields of Vercelli, he brings deep cultural knowledge and social responsibility to the Rifugio.  Together with his partner Barbara, he works the logistical and supply side of the Rifugio.
